| Raised in the farm country of central Illinois and a graduate of the photography program at Southern Illinois University (’91), Tim pointed his car westward, stopped in Colorado and decided it was as good of a place as any to start a career. Many adventures followed as he worked first in sports… shooting for colleges, trading cards, cheerleading companies & magazines. NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, NCAA. 42 national cheerleading competitions in eleven years. Skiing with a bag of gear, climbing catwalks with lights and dodging the occasional line drive all became second nature. Act Two developed into shooting editorial portraits of musicians, CEO’s, celebrities, athletes and others with short attention spans. Five minutes with REM, eight minutes with the Governor of Colorado or 90 seconds with Alanis Morissette… never a problem. The adventure wound its way through the offices of SKI Magazine, where he served as a Photo Editor and a photographer, and a few years later on the road photographing ringside for the WWE pro wrestling. A studio space in Nashville, TN added to the growing list of adventures and experiences. A weekend on the slopes with MacGyver and the Kennedys, dodging TV cameramen & flying wrestlers on live TV and a morning making pictures with the Governor of Tennessee with some school kids… all a part of the adventure. What’s next? Stay tuned and find out. |
